Watercolor is a lover that does not compromise or forgive.  Whenever you start to think, ‘Yes, now I’ve got you!’, it might just as quickly disappear.  Like an illusion.  Leaving you to keep trying, again and again…..

They often ask me, ‘How long does it take to paint one like this?’  I always answer the question that painting a watercolor is very similar to charming a beautiful woman.  You have the first moments when something may go wrong.  If it does, the only thing you can do is to try try again…..

Watercolor is an unforgiving medium.  It does not forgive mistakes and it absolutely abhors indifference.  It will always touch your inner voice, as it is the illustration of an artist’s soul.  When it is done right, it is the embodiment of honesty, as only in this way does it give enjoyment to the audience. 

Watercolor is both therapy and beauty, a special moment captured forever.
